Rosemary-Eco is a standardized extract obtained in a medium of Glycerin / Water (50:50) from the leaves of "Rosmarinus officinalis L.", proceeding from organic crop. It contains a minimum of 200 ppm of Rosmarinic Acid. Rosemary contains Flavonoids: heterosides of luteolol, diosmetol and methoxylated flavones in C-6 and/or C-7; phenolic acids (2-3%), especially caffeic derivatives: caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid and rosmarinic acid. Rosemary also contains tricyclic diterpenes and 1.0-2.5% essential oil.
Rosemary extract has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial activities. The anti-oxidant activity of this product is due to the anti-radical activity of diterpenes. The antioxidant action is partially attributed to the high rosmarinic acid content of these plants. The anti-inflammatory activity is also due to the Rosmarinic acid in Rosemary extract.
