El aditivo es especialmente recomendado para sistemas sin solventes y con alto contenido en sólidos, basados en sistemas epóxicos, PUR, poliaspárticos y UV. Es apropiado para sistemas pigmentados y no pigmentados, no tiene efecto sobre propiedades de superficie o transparencia y es efectivo durante la producción y todo su proceso. El aditivo consiste en un 100% de sólidos y es libre de solventes. BYK-1794 es utilizado en sistemas de capa gruesa, tales como revestimientos para pisos.
